History page represents the list of History Events registered in system database and the Events Filter form necessary to choose events to be shown in the list. Note that on entrance to the page the list of events is empty (not shown). To display it, choose desirable time interval and other selection conditions in the Events Filter form and click on Go! button. Page contains controls and navigation components combined in several groups:
System menu is shown if the History page was invoked from the system context - from the list of projects, list of forums, Admin's pages or system reports. System menu contains following items:
Forums - invokes Forums Root page containing the list of all Forums available to logged-in User.
Project List - invokes Projects root page.
Admin pages - invokes Administrator's root page giving an access to various administrative tools. Item is visible and available only to Users having administrative privileges.
History - is selected when the History page is displayed.
System reports - invokes System Reports page giving an access to various system-level reports.
Project menu is shown if the History page was invoked from the project context - from the list of project's tasks, project's forum, Bug reports page and so forth. Project menu incorporates following items:
Forum - invokes Forum Topics page displaying the list of Topics related with choosen Project.
Task List - invokes Project Tasks page displaying the list of Tasks for choosen Project.
Team - invokes Project Team page displaying the list of Team Members for choosen Project.
Bug Tracking - invokes Bug tracking page displaying the list of Bug Reports for choosen Project.
Documents & Sources - invokes Storage page displaying the list of Storage for choosen Project.
Milestones - invokes Milestones page displaying the list of Milestones for choosen Project.
Announcements - invokes Announcements page displaying the list of Announcements for choosen Project.
Reports - invokes Project Reports page giving an access to Project Reports for choosen Project.
History - is selected when the History page is displayed.
Mail - invokes E-mail form giving a chance to send e-mail messages to project's Team Members.
Represents the list of Project Management System History Events and a brief information regarding each of them.
The leftmost column of the table displays an icon corresponding to the event type. Next two columns contains "delete" and "edit" symbols for those events, which may be deleted or edited by logged in User. All other columns represent History event information including date and time of the event, the Client company and the Project, with which the event is related, User, who initiated the event and event's description.
Mouse button click on the event description causes different actions depending upon the type of event. For task-related and bug-related events mouse click invokes a popup window with corresponding task or bug details. For document-related events mouse click opens corresponding document in new window or (depending upon user's operating system settings) invokes standard file download dialog.
Group of controls providing user with an opportunity to filter events that is to choose, which events should be shown in the List of events. If the History page was called from the system context (for example from the list of projects) then events may be filtered by the date, Client company, Project, User or type. If the History page was called from the project context (for example from the list of project's tasks) then the Client company and the Project are considered as already choosen and the list of History events contains only the records related with the current Project. Optionally events in the list may be sorted by the Client company, Project or User.
To filter the list of events User should make desirable settings and click a mouse on Go! button.
Events filter form contains also Add note button for adding a special kind of History events - user's notes. Mouse click on this button invokes Edit Note page for adding new note.
Click on Quick navigation pushbutton to invoke the list of user's Bookmarks. Click on Add this page to Bookmarks link at the bottom of the page to add currently opened page to the list of user's Bookmarks.
Provides user with full text search within system database. Project Management System searches for the string entered into the Search box in Projects (name and description fields), in Tasks (name and description fields), in Bug reports (name and description fields), in Documents (name and description fields), in Forums (name and description fields), in Forum topics (name and description fields), in Forum Messages (subject and body fields).
My Settings - invokes Edit Settings page providing user with a possibility to view, edit or delete his personal settings - login, password, e-mail, telephone and some other. Using this page user also have an opportunity to upload his photo thus representing himself to other members of a project team..
My Bookmarks - invokes Bookmarks page providing user with a possibility to view, edit or delete his personal Bookmarks.
My Reminders - invokes Reminders page providing user with a possibility to view, edit, add or delete his personal Reminders.
My Daily Reports (or pressing F8 hotkey) - invokes Personal daily reports page providing user with a possibility to view, edit or add his personal activity records.
Click on Help menu item (or pressing F1 hotkey) invokes pop-up window displaying this help.
Terminates user's session and redirects visitor's web browser to login page. System automatically terminates session if user is not navigating between Project Management System pages for 2 hours, however for security reasons it is recommended to use Logout link to terminate session before you close your web browser or leave Project Management System. It is especially important if you are using public or shared computer.
