Projects management page

This page provides Project Management System administrator with an opportunity to add new Project, delete existing Project or assign Projects available to each User.

Depending upon the status of the "show completed projects" checkbox located at the bottom of the table, page displays either all Projects registered in the system database or only those Projects, which do not have Completed status.

Table columns contain following information (columns from left to right):

Mouse button click on the icon located in the leftmost column activates Project deletion. System asks administrator to confirm his intention to delete chosen Project and on receipt of the confirmation deletes it with all related Tasks, Documents, Forums, Bug reports, History records and other project-related entities. Note that once you confirmed Project deletion, it cannot be undone and think twice before doing it.
Mouse button click on the icon located in the second column invokes Users assignment dialog that is the administrative form necessary to assign Project availability for each certain User and each User's role in chosen Project.
Mouse button click on the pencil icon located in the third column invokes Edit Project's properties page, where Project Management System administrator may change Project's name, description, status and other properties.
Project column displays Project's name.
Status column displays Project's status, which is either Draft or In progress or Completed. Note that Projects with Completed status may be not shown depending upon the status of the "show completed projects" checkbox located at the bottom of the table.
Client Company column displays the name of the Company, which ordered the Project.
Start date column displays Project's start date that is the date when the Project was created (entered into the Project Management System).
End date column displays Project's end date that is the date when Project's status was changed to Completed.
Est. hours column displays an estimated amount of work in man-hours for entire Project (if applicable).
Hour cost column displays a cost of man-hour associated with the project. This information is optional and intended mainly for the Projects based upon the simple Time & Material pricing model where every Task has the same hourly rate without reference to the complexity of the task or qualification of developers involved.

Mouse button click on Add new project pushbutton at the bottom of the table adds new Project to the system and invokes Edit Project's properties page to assign name, description and other attributes to a new Project.
