Edit Project properties page
Project Management System administrator uses Edit Project properties
page to edit following Project's attributes:
- Name* – string limited to 50 chars representing Project’s
name.
- Description – string (usually multiline) describing Project’s
scope and other general project information.
- Status* – one of the following: Draft, In progress or Completed.
Draft stage covers all preliminary negotiations, communication and documents, which took place before
the Project agreement was signed. In progress status denotes
Project development in itself. And finally, Completed status means that
the Project has been completed.
- Client company* – reference to one of the Companies.
Typically it is a final customer of the project but in some cases it may be an intermediary
Company or even your own Company if the
Project is created for the planning and monitoring of various internal tasks.
If several companies participate in a project then the rule is: the company, which pays a money to your
company for this project must be selected as a client company.
- Start date – date when the Project was started. System
automatically inserts current date into the Start date field when administrator enters new
Project into the system but this date may be changed manually if necessary.
- End date – date when the Project was completed. System
automatically inserts current date into the End date field when administrator changes
Project's status to Closed, but this date may be changed manually if
necessary.
- Estimated hours – estimated amount of work in man-hours for entire
Project (if applicable).
- Hour cost – for a Projects using simple Time & Material
pricing model (where every task has the same hourly rate without reference to the complexity of the task or
qualification of developers involved) this value may be used for financial calculations. For Fixed price
or more complex pricing models this field may be left blank.
* Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.
Save pushbutton at the bottom of the table saves changes in system database and navigates to the
Projects management page.Cancel pushbutton at the bottom of the table
navigates to the Projects management page without saving changes.
